About Crossthread

Crossthread is the combined effort of like-minded individuals with the mission to curate inclusive and safer spaces for those who are often caught or forced in between the threads of society and social status.We aim to represent these individuals with the objective of a community space where they can express themselves through collaborative arts. We facilitate connections and experiences where identity can be candidly and safely explored, and there are no expectations to fit into the grooves of mainstream society. Crossthread provides opportunities for connection through community outreach at local events in San Jose where youth and young adults can receive free resources for harm reduction. We provide them with resources to stay safe and opportunities for meaningful connection with like-minded individuals. Along with hosting our own collaborative arts events, we partner with other local event promoters and organizations that share our commitment to the community. Crossthread promotes an ideology that will continue to grow and evolve into sustainable practice, that wields the potential to last beyond our involvement

Crossthread aims to maintain our mission and expand into a physical location- a venue where people of all ages in San Jose can freely explore who they are and what they are passionate about. For the community, by the community.

We will foster creativity and provide more constructive outlets for people to explore self expression through art and music. Crossthread is committed to providing volunteer opportunities while creating a network of educational, vocational, and social resources that is accessible to all ages in San Jose.
